Summer Adventure
5 – 12 years · June – August

Summer should be the best part of the year. Not a childcare emergency.

Our Summer Adventure program runs full days through the school break, structured enough to be safe and worth the money, loose enough that kids come home tired and happy instead of bored and over-scheduled.

Weekly themes, water play, sports, STEM builds, cooking, and art — plus the same five meals a day and the same 6 AM to 7 PM hours as the rest of the year. Everything happens right here on our own grounds, which means no permission slips, no bus rides, and no surprise trip fees. Spots fill early; registration opens in the spring.

Inside the room

What your child does here

Weekly themes

A new focus every week — space, ocean, inventors, world cultures, sports. Enough novelty to keep a nine-year-old interested for nine weeks.

Everything on site

No buses, no permission slips, no trip fees. Every activity happens on our own grounds, where we control the environment and you always know exactly where your child is.

Water days

Splash play on site during the hottest stretch of a Houston summer, with sunscreen and shade managed by staff.

STEM builds

Circuits, coding, catapults, slime chemistry — plus our STEM lab with real computer stations. Hands-on projects that older kids don't consider babyish.

Art & cooking

Real projects with real materials, plus simple cooking — measuring, following steps, and eating what you made.

Reading, quietly

Daily independent reading time to hold back the summer slide, without turning July into school.

Summer Adventure questions

Things parents ask us

When does registration open?
Spring, and spots go quickly — especially for the older age group. Get on the interest list and we'll contact you before it opens to the public.
Can we sign up for individual weeks?
Ask us. We typically offer both full-summer and week-by-week enrollment, with different pricing for each.
Do you take the children on field trips?
No — and that's deliberate. Everything we do happens on our own grounds, where we control the environment, keep our ratios steady, and always know exactly where every child is. It also means no permission slips and no extra fees showing up mid-summer.
Won't they get bored staying on site?
There is a new theme every week and a different focus every day — water play, sports, building projects, science, cooking, art. Nine weeks is plenty of room to keep it interesting without putting a nine-year-old on a bus in Houston traffic.
